Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) Tool
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) permits individuals age 70.5 or older to donate up to $100,000 directly from a taxable IRA to one or more organisations in instead of taking their required minimum distributions. Donors can thereby avoid being forced into higher income tax categories and prevent the elimination of other tax deductions, although there are additional restrictions.
